Korea’s presidential election campaign officially kicks off today! Lee Jae-myung will launch his campaign at 9 AM (KST), amid growing concerns for his personal safety.

On December 3, 2024, as the threat of martial law loomed under Yoon Suk-yeol’s regime, Lee made a desperate plea for the people to join together with him at the National Assembly. If not for that urgent call, we might now be living in fear under military rule.

​Alarmingly, the insurrection is far from over—it is in fact ongoing. Yoon Suk-yeol remains free and is being quietly tried for insurrection in a secret proceeding overseen by the very judge who released him from detention. Meanwhile, Yoon continues to openly rally insurrectionist supporters, further threatening Korea’s democracy. Meanwhile, credible reports warn of renewed threats to ​Lee's life, making international vigilance critical to ensuring his safety.
To raise awareness about the historic importance of this election—particularly the need to stop the ongoing insurrection and secure Lee’s victory—I’ve launched a bilingual English–Korean blog. I’ll do my best to keep it updated and would deeply appreciate any resources, information, or materials you recommend for sharing.
