Lee Jae-myung Dominates Hypothetical Three-Way Presidential Race

In a recent Pollkkot (여론조사꽃) survey, Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung emerged as the clear frontrunner in a hypothetical three-way presidential race, securing 54.0% support. Former Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Moon-soo followed with 20.6%, while former People Power Party chairman Lee Jun-seok trailed with just 6.9%. The poll reflects a growing national demand for political change. When asked whether they preferred a change of government or the continuation of the current administration, 68.9% of respondents favored change, while only 27.4% supported an extension of the existing regime.Party preference results further underscore this trend. The Democratic Party leads with 52.5%, significantly ahead of the People Power Party's 30.4%, marking a 22.1 percentage point gap.

Conducted with 2,002 respondents, the survey included a diverse political spectrum: 492 progressives, 817 moderates, 565 conservatives, and 128 who were unsure or did not respond.

Regionally, Lee led in every area except Daegu and North Gyeongsang (TK). He received overwhelming support in the Honam region (78.3%) and majorities in Gyeonggi-Incheon (56.9%), Seoul (55.2%), Chungcheong (51.8%), and Gangwon-Jeju (50.8%).

By age group, Lee held the lead across all voters aged 60 and under. He dominated among those in their 40s (75.8%), vastly outpacing Kim Moon-soo (11.3%). He also led among voters in their 50s (68.4%), 30s (53.5%), and even maintained a narrow lead among those in their 60s (50.2%).

These results suggest that Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party are resonating strongly with a wide cross-section of the electorate, pointing to a potential shift in the political landscape as the next presidential election approaches.

연령대별로는 60대 이하 모든 연령대에서 이재명 대표가 선두를 차지했다. 특히 40대에서는 75.8%로 김문수 전 지사(11.3%)를 압도했다. 50대(68.4%), 30대(53.5%)에서도 우위를 보였으며, 60대에서도 근소한 차이로 선두를 유지했다.
이 결과는 이재명과 더불어민주당이 광범위한 유권자층에서 큰 반향을 일으키고 있음을 보여주며, 다가오는 대선에서 정치적 변화가 일어날 가능성을 시사한다.
